The Opportunity


We have an exciting new opportunity at Teva for an experienced Medical Affairs professional to join the team as a Medical Advisor. This is a great chance to step into a strategic role while still having a lot of opportunity to interact with customers on field.
In this role, you will be providing scientific/ medical leadership and support for products in our therapeutic areas. In addition, you will develop and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) at academic and clinical institutions. You will provide internal and external customers with medical and scientific information on Teva products in a non-promotional manner.
As this is, a customer-facing role there will be an expectation that you will be travelling around Australia and New Zealand to interact with our customers for around 60% of the time.

How you'll spend your day


  • Execute medical strategy in collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Develop, maintain, and identify new relationships with KOLs and HCPs and provide scientific information about Teva products
  • Provide scientific/medical advice, information and training within the company on new and existing products
  • Provide insights internally on scientific gaps, ideas and other topics gathered from scientific exchange to inform Scientific Response Documents, Local Data Generation proposals, clinical trial programs, development programs and company therapeutic area strategy
  • Support formulary submissions by providing scientific and medical insights and input

Your Experience and Qualifications


  • Life sciences degree, Master’s degree, PhD or MBBS qualified
  • Minimum 2 years of MSL experience in the AU pharmaceutical industry
  • Previous experience in psychiatry therapeutic advantageous
  • Good understanding of the Medicines Australia Code of Conduct
  • Ability to build partnerships with senior HCPs and KOLs
  • Strong agility and flexibility in ways of working
  • Ability to travel around Australia and New Zealand
  • Excellent communication skills/teamwork/collaboration and ability to work effectively with numerous interfaces
  • Self-motivated and strong sense of accountability to key deliverables
  • Ability to handle competing priorities effectively
  • Possess a high level of business ethics, integrity and professionalism, and the ability to ensure these standards are reflected in business dealings
  • Strong teamwork/collaboration skills and ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams
