Insights & Analytics Manager

Purpose of the Job
Leads sales forecast, business analysis, market research and competitive intelligence, based on knowledge and insights gained through primary and secondary market research, quantitative data, and input from relevant stakeholders. Ensures analysis and findings are brought to the relevant stakeholders to support strategic decision making.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
  • Maintains an in-depth understanding of the market including all product classes, products, and their attributes as well as the dynamics at play in the market by studying secondary data, primary market research, competitive intelligence and through collaborative interactions with stakeholders to develop and maintain realistic forecast assumptions
  • Delivers realistic brand forecasts for RE, AB and SPP submissions in addition to forecasts for Business Impact Analyses and new product launches by maintaining up-to-date knowledge on forecasting methodologies and processes and developing and maintaining effective forecast models in order to allow the affiliate to set revenue expectations and make decisions relating to resource allocations and strategy
  • Collaborates with Finance in the business planning process by completing and reviewing all relevant Business Plan Templates to ensure all forecast submissions are complete, accurate and submitted on time
  • Supports strategic decisions within the Therapeutic Area’s organization by ensuring complete, accurate, timely and consistent analysis of forecast related data and dissemination of insights to ensure that forecast drivers are understood and considered when developing brand plans and making decisions
  • Provides competitive intelligence support through discovery, consolidation, validation, and dissemination of competitive information to identify trends, opportunities, and threats in NNCI's external environment and drive evidence-based decision making in the market.
  • Provides insight-driven strategic and tactical consultation to brand managers and other functional areas
  • Executes custom primary market research and competitive intelligence projects by Managing both vendors and individual studies/projects at both the local and global levels through effective project management processes in order to ensure that actionable insights are delivered on time and on budget

Key Compliance Accountabilities:
  • Conducts all activities in accordance with the Novo Nordisk Way
  • Complies with Novo Nordisk Quality Business Processes and Policies as outlined in ISOtrain by completing the required training and filing the corresponding Read and Understood Form in ISOtrain or the Training archive in order to ensure up to date information

Education (Minimum Requirements):
  • Bachelor’s Degree (ideally in Business, Science, or Engineering)
  • M.B.A. is preferred

Experience (Minimum Requirements):
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant pharmaceutical industry experience demonstrating a steady career progression with increasing roles of responsibility
  • Minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical experience in either primary market research, competitive intelligence, analytics, or market access
  • Pharmaceutical Sales experience is an asset but not a requirement

Working Conditions:
  • Works in an open-office environment with exposure to multiple demands from multiple stakeholders, short deadlines and frequent interruptions
  • Little exposure to hazards while performing duties of the job

  • Collaborates across boundaries by partnering with other stakeholders to achieve primary market research and competitive intelligence objectives
  • Manages business complexity by making and supporting timely, insightful decisions based on the best primary market research and competitive intelligence available in order to drive the business
  • Fosters innovation and continuous improvement in the analysis, synthesis and integration of primary market research and competitive intelligence data in order to better identify and communicate opportunities and threats
