As a core member of the API & Cloud Integrations team, software development engineers design, code, test, and build CI/CD pipelines for scalable, high performance, and easily maintainable solutions. They also provide technical expertise in evaluating, designing, developing, deploying, monitoring, testing, and supporting systems and procedures that are cost effective and improve work efficiency. Additionally, the software development engineer partners with enterprise and solution architects to ensure that the application meets company service level standards and roadmap requirements. The software development engineer is embedded within an agile team and can quickly adapt to shifting business priorities.
This F5 team builds and operates critical APIs and systems integrations that support the entire lifecycle of our products and business processes. We utilize a variety of tools and technologies to connect systems and expose enterprise data. The primary tool used in this position is Dell Boomi. We are looking for software engineers who are eager to solve complex technical problems that truly make a difference for F5 customers and employees.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop new and maintain existing system integrations and APIs
  • Provide development estimates for user stories
  • Translate business requirements into functional and non-function system requirements
  • Analyze end user needs and design, develop and unit test software to satisfy demand
  • Contribute to design and coding standards to ensure consistency across applications
  • Partner with site reliability engineers to ensure successful deployment of solutions
  • Work closely with Operations team to monitor production systems
  • Partner closely with business system analyst team to troubleshoot and provide solutions for production issues
  • Responsible for upholding F5’s Business Code of Ethics and for promptly reporting violations of the Code or other company policies.

  • Dell Boomi certification a plus

Qualifications

  • BS/BA or equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years’ experience developing and or supporting systems integrations/workflows in Dell Boomi or similar technology (MuleSoft, TIBCO, Zapier, etc.)
  • 7+ years software engineering experience building and or supporting complex enterprise systems integrations and REST APIs
  • 4+ years of development experience with languages such as Java, C/C++, C#
  • Experience with Apigee and Informatica Powercenter a plus
  • Working knowledge of designing and building cloud-based solutions using cloud native services such as functions, cloud native databases and storage services, service busses, and other service offerings
  • 3+ years designing and building cloud-based solutions using cloud native services such as functions, cloud native databases and storage services, service busses, and other service offerings
  • 3+ years working with automated pipeline delivery systems (Azure DevOps preferred)
  • Proven ability to develop end to end software solutions with a background in computer science or equivalent experience
  • Experience working in agile and lean software development
