Uttlesford’s finance team are responsible for all the financial functions and cover all areas of financial accounting, from processing invoices to producing the final accounts. This role offers a wide variety of tasks and opportunities to expand your finance knowledge within the Public Sector.
This post is a key supporting role to the Finance team offering a wide scope of exposure and experience in all aspects of the accounting processes.
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that the various processes are maintained effectively and on-going procedure development is implemented to create required efficiencies for the finance service.
To be successful the candidate needs to demonstrate sound knowledge and experience of working within a busy, multi-functional finance team. A demonstrable understanding of financial procedures and the financial control environment is required and the ability to work to competing deadline and propose improvements to processes and embrace implementing them.
Good numeracy and literacy skills are required as well as the ability to make full use of Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel. Demonstrable experience of using a financial information system is desirable.
The ability to manage personal workloads and work flexibly within the finance service is important to the delivery of this role.
